Can you imagine a product that must withstand high g-force landings at 150 mph, with rocks and debris flying up like bullets on touchdown? What about a product that must be able to function properly while cycling from -70 F to 120 F within a 10 minute cycle?

Landing Gear must also have reliable performance after a Lightning Strike, and be able to perform for tens of thousand of flex cycles without damage or loss of service during deployment?

For more than 25 years Icore International have designed and produced these systems in support of commercial and military aircraft throughout the world.

We have the capability to design conduit-protected wire harnesses in a 3-D environment using CATIA V5 and other advanced design tools. We analyze the complex motion of the landing gear and wired conduit assemblies during all conditions of flight, and we use our proprietary component technology to provide solutions that assure the landing gear wiring systems will operate effectively and reliably. We have designed and built dedicated test fixtures to insure that the complex flexure of our systems is reliable during tens of thousands of cycles. We also design rigid conduit assemblies for landing gear applications that are lightweight, impact resistant, and offer excellent High Intensity Radiation Field performance.

The wired assemblies we produce allow the airport ground crew to communicate with the cockpit, help to sense and measure the weight on wheels, control the anti-skid brakes, and monitor the temperature of the braking system as it heats up during landing and deceleration. Aircraft customers demand a safe and functional landing gear system, and our wired assemblies are a major contributor to that safety and functionality.

Icore's wired conduit assemblies typically last 10 years between overhaul and 20 years between replacement at major landing gear overhaul maintenance cycles. Between these maintenance cycles they they deploy and retract many times per day, cycling from cold temperatures at high altitude to land in rain, heat, fog, or snow - for thousands of cycles.

Icore's electrical interconnect products are being used on the landing gear for many of the major civil transport airplanes in service throughout the world, including the 737, 747, 767, and 777. We also provide critical assemblies and components that will be used on the 787 Dreamliner and components for the gear assemblies on the CRJ series, ERJ-145, and the Dash-8.
